I’ve been writing, editing, and publishing content for almost two decades, and I’ve been a part of the RVO Health (formerly Red Ventures) organization since 2022. I was initially drawn to health-related work when someone close to me received a cancer diagnosis. I spent a lot of time researching while they went through traditional treatment and clinical trials, and I wanted to continue to expand my own knowledge while helping others who may be in similar situations.

I always start with the best evidence I can find — primary research consisting of well-designed studies from reputable journals. If something’s backed by studies, I’ll say so and explain why. If it’s not, I’ll provide the nuance and note where and if we still lack the research we need. I like digging into the intricacies of chronic conditions. As someone with multiple conditions, I know what it feels like to have a weird or unusual experience and not be able to find the context I need to manage it. Health and the healthcare system are hard things to navigate. If I can make someone’s journey even a little bit easier by giving them the information they need to make a decision or find help, I feel like I’ve done something worthwhile.

Trust is an essential part of the Healthline mission, and I take our commitment to content integrity, thoughtful language, and accessible information extremely seriously. Working with our internal subject matter experts and our network of medical professionals allows me to create content that informs, empowers, and reassures our readers.

These are just a few of the articles I’ve been privileged to work on.
